Baby Jaymes music video K.I.M.

Oakland artist Baby Jaymes grew up immersed in the sounds of the classic school, R&B and funk artists of the Motown generation. As a result, his fresh sound, affectionately coined “ghetto retro”, is heavily influenced by the artists of that era: Sylvia Robinson, Smokey, Aretha, Marvin, Tower of Power, Sly Stone, and other R&B pioneers. Baby Jaymes earned his stripes writing and working closely with several members of the Tonies camp and other San Francisco Bay Area bands. His accomplishments earned him tracks on the “Any Given Sunday,” “Malibu’s Most Wanted”, The Invasion” and “My Baby’s Daddy” soundtracks, among others. Today, innovation is the name of the game for Baby Jaymes and his sound is constantly evolving as he grows as a writer, singer, and musician. For more information about BJ and some samples of his work hit up, google Baby Jaymes (with a “Y”…don’t forget the “Y”).
