The S.O.U.L. S.Y.S.T.E.M. was a team composed of the producers Robert Clivillés and David Cole (better known under the name of C + C Music Factory), vocalists Michelle Visage, Octavia Lambertis, Gary Michael Wade, and Jamal Alicea.
Their only single was a rap version of the 1978 Bill Withers song “Lovely Day.” It featured in the popular 1992 movie “The Bodyguard” directed by Mick Jackson. The song, released with several House remixes, reached #1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart and peaked at #34 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1993.
