O Children music video Ruins

Named after a Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds song, London-based outfit O. Children formed from the ashes of the controversially titled Bono Must Die -- who disbanded after they were sued by Bono himself. Brought together by Tobi O’Kandi (vocals) and Andi Sleath (drums) in 2008, Gauthier Ajarrista (guitar) and Harry James (bass) were drafted in to complete the final lineup. Mining the '80s for influences, O. Children’s sound is deeply seated in the dark and melancholic music that Joy Division produced, while they also take on board the grandiose, goth rock sound that the Sisters of Mercy and Fields of the Nephilim became synonymous with. In early 2009, the band signed to Deadly People Recordings in the U.K., which released their debut 7” single in August of that year, the limited-edition Dead Disco Dancer. At the beginning of 2010, they entered the studio to record material with producer Jas Shaw of Simian Mobile Disco.
